I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of my ez smart system and was wondering if I could get some tips for attaching the smart base.

Searching around, I found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYoE8jLMsOs. Is this method any better than the instructions provided? What would the "correct distance" be? Any different for a left blade saw (I know, I know... it's what I have).

Thanks in advance,
-Michael

Michael,

The method being explained on the video is one recommended by the Peter, distributor of EZ in England. I have never seen Dino use or recommend this method. Distance would be the same for right and left blade saws. I don't recall what that distance is.

Hi Michael.
If you get the left bladed base ( The new moduni base)
you don't have to measure the blade.
You drop the blade in the slot and your saw is auto-aligned.
Do you ask for a left base?
thanks.

I added a left base, so I'll have both a right base and a left base. Someday, I'll buy another saw for the right base.:)
