I started in the field of carpentry in 1995 when my brother in law hired me to work for him. I was told he would know by lunch time if I had what it took. I was given about 15 minutes of instruction on using a chop box and cutting some base moulding. I made it through to lunch and past

I worked with him for about the next 10 years on new construction jobs.. Then I worked for another company as a foreman running a crew of a few guys. Then the bottom dropped out in NY and just about every construction job stopped. I was already transitioning into more of a woodworker and had started a business building and selling customized dart cabinets over the internet. A link to that website is in my sig lines. Now I stay far away from new construction unless a trimmer friend calls and needs help.

Aside from my woodworking, I play the bass guitar and was pretty active in bands until about 3 years ago.
