I have a thought Dino. Have you considered extrusions in materials other than aluminum? Perhaps WPC (Wood plastic composites) I know there are a few of the WPC extruders already making 80/20 stuff.

Maybe dimple is the wrong word. It raises a lump on top of the track where the saw rides. If I were to file that down I would eventually have a hole. No?

Just knowing not to crank on it might be enough. I was cranking to tap the 8 holes and was just in cranking mode :) I can loosen them and give the dimples a tap with a brass mallet if they end up...

When connecting two pieces of track to extend them, don't get crazy tightening the set-screws or they will dimple the top of the track. Doesn't seem to be so bad that it affects the path of my saw,...

I just got a 5008MGA and it came already with the dust port and mounted on a base. It is a black base and doesn't have any holes for mounting to the UEG.
