UEG Work Surface

The recommendation to clamp down the material when using the Universal Edge Guide (UEG) leads me to wondering what people are putting their material on when they use the UEG.

Does your...

Larry,

I'm curious ...

When you say this (above) did you mean the friction between the base and the top of the plywood was sufficient to push move the plywood? (I suspect this is what happened)...

Is there a way to adjust the squareness of your setup, if needed?

It appears that you can't run the saw along the area adjacent to the square, otherwise you'd cut off the square's fence material. ...

You just move the the EZ-ONE's non-fence sliding rail(s) to support the square and/or material being cut, as needed.

If you don't want the EZ-ONE's open top, you can place 3/4" thick panels...

UEG Users: How do you do crosscuts?

A recent thread got me wondering ...

To those who use the Universal Edge Guide (UEG), after you've ripped length(s) of material using the UEG, what tool(s) do you use to cut the length(s) of...

Storage for Tracks and other EZ Gear

I was searching for ideas on storing tracks and came across this web page:'

It is similar to how the EZ Smart tracks are shipped. Looks slick.

I agree 100% about the value of the Smart Table. It needs to come back with an option to buy banquet table legs via Eurekazone. I suspect the pyramids are perceived as an alternative solution, but I...

I'm still trying to picture a screwed down cabinetmaker. Specifically, how you'd adjust the assembly for material height. Isn't this what the bridge was for?

Thanks for measuring your Makita 5007MGA kerf. Bosch lists the 6-1/2" blade's kerf as 0.063", which is in line with your measurements. Trust me, my measurements will NOT be within 1/100"!! :-)

I looked online to find the kerf width of the Makita blade but they don't publish it. In the Bosch blades they list both 7-1/4" and 6-1/4" blades as having the same kerf width, so I'm hopeful. I'll...

It was my...

I've long like the concept of the Spartan shown in the first video. I actually purchased a pre-owned Bridge with the thought of making a long narrow bench to rip dimensional lumber.

Todd,
Where and how exactly did you put a screw through the guide rail? It seems that a screw head on the surface would interfere with the base as it glides.

Do you drill a small hole for the...
