EZ still never got back to me on this .

But they currently have the bench clamps on sale so I picked up a 4 pack of the 3" ones. I wanted some 6" clamps too to try them out but the shipping about doubled compared to the 3". Seems like they have fixed rate shipping based on purchase price. In modern days this doesn't seem like it's good for business.

Can't wait to try out the clamps.

Thanks,

Mike

No excuse for EZ to not sort this out and get back to you.
Ive no insight into EZ's shipping philosophy though I thought it interesting that when you have them calc shipping costs they just give you one price. Seems like these days most places give you an array of different shipping methods to chose from. I'd think, at minimum, they should provide you with prices for USPS and the various UPS services.
Saying that, I've been surprised at how expensive shipping is in general. My guess is that the shipping companies raised their prices when fuel got expensive but didn't lower them again when fuel got cheap.
I doubt if EZ is doing anything but passing on the actual cost they're paying for shipping.
