Default Use the HIGH-TECH method to square up!

So, I wanted to see how square my EZ bridge track REALLY was to the back fence... sure, a 12" Swanson works or if you happen to own a carpenters square that is actually...well, square - you can probably get it close enough... but we all wonder if it's REALLY, TRULY square.. :roll eyes: ( man.. why doesn't the roll eyes guy work ?? )

Well... if you have an iPhone then download Dewalts Construction Calc, Pro version. There is a Squaring feature that you can feed in ANY measurement for length and width and it will tell you EXACTLY what the diagonal should be... we all all know the 3,4,5 method but you are stuck using multiples of that... unless you're a math wiz - which I am NOT .

Fed in my fence measurement from the track then entered the length of bridge track from the fence and it told me I should have 5'3&3/8".. BAM - Dead ON!

Pretty slick, John! Thanks for the info. I downloaded it. In order to get the pythagorean theorem, you have to get the carpentry add on, but only 99 cents for that.
