Just to confirm, this saw is highly recommended for use with the system?
I found one on super cheap, and bought it and want to confirm (I know the answer is in the user guide I created, but I need to be sure). Aside from cutting with 8-1/2 blades, it has other good features, correct? |

Good smooth quiet saw with brake I believe. Depth of cut is what has it on my list.

Howard,
I often use my 5008MGA with a 8 1/2" blade. If I recall correctly, depth of cut with the 8 1/2" Blade is about 2 1/4". Also some of our folks use the saw with a 7 1/4" blade. 7 1/4" blades are considerably cheaper than either 8 1/4" or 8 1/2" Blades. Many of us look at this saw as the best for use with the EZ system. Weight is less than many 7 1/4" saws. Controls are large and easily used. The saw feels great in the hand. It gives capacity to deal with 8/4 wood. Burt |

Anyone know if the 8 1/4" saw would fit in the 7 1/4" case? I purchased the 8" saw and now looking for a case.
Thanks. |
