I hope this isn't a stupid question, but with a properly built Smart Table, can I use the bridge assembly?

Marc,
Yes you can if you were to attach an extrusion (SME, SSME, B2B, etc) to the edge of the table. I actually have an old powerbench that I converted to my Smart Table and it has SMEs running along the front and back edges. I have used the bridge on it to do cross-cuts of dimension lumber.

With the UEG, new SmartSquare, and this I think my EZ-One bench will become my dedicated SmartTable.

One big thing with the new smart table is that it can also be used as a clamping table. I have used that feature a lot on tables with extrusion tops.

In one of Dino's early videos, he added an SME to the side of a STK for clamping and doing mortise and tenon work. It was so revolutionary! But using the NEW STK for a clamping table too? That's just brilliant! Great place for cabinet assembly too.

Burt,

Do you have a photo or could you explain a bit more how you use the smart table as a clamping table? I'm having trouble picturing how best to use it.

Thanks,
Matt

The EZ T Track is attached to the table top. The connector on the bottom of the clamps fit in the slots in the T track. This allows the clamps to hold the board in place.
