Default EZSMART Parallel (X) Limit Stop Set

http://www.eurekazone.com/product_p/ezr2400.htm

These each (a pair) feature a phillips screw to tighten on to the track, and a hex screw, whose purpose I was hoping someone could explain to me.

Thanks all

You set the stop and make a test cut. You need to make a tiny adjustment. It's much easier to turn the screw a bit than to loosen the stop and move it a bit.
